The reason is because, Momonga may sound similar to names from this dimension. If his friends (that may or may not be in this dimension) heard it, they could doubt that it is their former friend, Momonga, and chalk it up as being a coincidence.
On the other hand, Ainz Oowl Goan is such an alien name that is even made of 3 very specific words so the possibility of this being a coincidente go down dramatically. If Momonga's allies heard it, they would 99% know it relates to them.

Momonga literally says that he should spread the name of his guild around the world so that if his friends heard of it, they would come look for him.
Afterwards I just speculated why he would spread the name of the guild, rather than his own name: the guild name sounds more unique.

Imo, he took the name of his former guild because it would be easier to recognise for other players since it was stated that the guild "Ainz Oowl Goan" was in the top 10 of the most famous guilds. So if advanced or even intermediate players that were searching for a guild to join, heard of it, they would have understood.
On the other hand, except if he was an extremely famous player known already everywhere in the game, or even used in a promotional shoot for the game, the name Momonga would be rather... Eh, common, without any punch to it.
