Oversimplified SCP - Ch. 153 - Log Of Anomalous Items, Vol II

Dude if that duck really has that effect it is definitely worthy of an SCP status. Just ask "I'm having trouble figuring out how to contain scp xxx", and then you get the solution.

A solution doesn't mean a good solution, so it's effect could be limited to just forcing you to make a decision for better or for worse.

How the fuck did they figure out that the gloves do something when you punch babies with them

just in case someone confused about why the duck is not worthy scp status, maybe search for "Rubber Duck Debugging"

some of these are pretty amusing, they're just party tricks
that last one, Agent Morris, it's wrong.

@wymar , Simple. What do you do with boxing gloves? Punch things. So they did a scientific study punching everything they could thing of. That includes babies.

@Shinobu153
@wymar

That would imply that they knew it was special in the first place.
Somebody out there must have one day decided( or accidentally ) to punch their kid´s teeth out and then told other people about it.
The SCP Foundation has a lot of tools to help them, but they are not able to detect other SCP items before they are shown to be special as far as I know.

scps aren't classified by how much of an effect they have, they're classified based on how difficult they are to contain. if you leave it in a drawer and nothing bad happens, it's a safe-rated scp. if you leave it out in full view of the public and nothing bad happens, it's not an scp. a rubber duck that causes you to make up your mind on a problem is the latter.

@G4bee the duck only helps you come up with a solution, not necessarily the best solution. Its solutions could range anywhere from brilliant to the worst idea possible
