Oversimplified SCP - Ch. 47 - SCP-231

@Hyronicblob

No worry. I am making my way to be a writer, recreate an experience to feel it myself is what i am capable of. I usually read spoiler and sum before watching/playing games/movies and still get the same enjoyment. It is vital to me that I understand the situation to the fullest so that when i read/watch i can experience in full and not in confusion. I used to have to read the transcript of a comedy show before watching it because my listening is not completely perfect. I enjoy the show much more later on though.

To anyone wondering, 110-Montauk just seems to be an extremely horrific form of torture. There's nothing special involved, just pure cruelty. While this may not be canon, as no SCP-001 truly is, you can find more information at http://www.scp-wiki.net/tuftos-proposal.

I just read the files on Procedure 110-Montauk and can confirm it's not something for the faint of heart. Indeed, the things they do to the poor girl should not be discussed here.

Ohhhhh...this one. I remember reading this one and it was soo depressing. That little girl has to basically be tortured for the rest of her life due to the possibility her death will end the world

I just read the thing about 231. And also, i read that on my phone, so i used "reader mode", and this thing is famous for showing things in code that appear invisible in the actual page... And what can i say - oh my god!
Between lines and reports there are pages from their occult bible or something that perfectly prophesized what will happen with brides of the crimson king, and people around them. Creepy as f

For anyone who wants to take a different canon to this so they don't have nightmares, read scp tale "Fear Alone". http://www.scp-wiki.net/fear-alone
In "Fear Alone", the brutal [redacted] that they're performing on the scp 231-7 is just reading a book to her, to read her to sleep. After the deaths of the previous scp 231 females, the foundation realized there was a better way to contain and prevent the death of 231-7. Instead of brutalizing, torturing 231-7 everyday, the Foundation instead made all non-briefed researchers, security, staff, etc, believe that she was being subjected to the most brutal, evil of acts. In the original scp article on the wiki, look at how the description of scp 231-7's containment and the procedure montauk is worded and redacted, to imply the absolute worst. This in turn sows dread and fear among the scp staff who are unaware of the truth of procedure montauk. Why? Because the Foundation learned there was no need to commit vile, disgusting acts to contain the evil entity within 231-7's womb. Instead they only had to make the entity believe they were committing such acts in its name. The fear, the dread, the thoughts and imagination among the staff of what procedure montauk is, and what 231-7 is being put through, is enough to satiate the evil entity.

To those who wanted to know the aftermath, read this in order
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-999
https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Scarlet_King
http://www.scp-wiki.net/new-job

i wonder if this is less cruel or not but my mind say " this humanity can only have XXX time to figure other solution and accept it fate, cause in time, it wont worth it anymore "

@Rabcor the whole point of the procedure is that they're supposed to go through immense psychological trauma and pain in order to prevent giving birth. Using anesthesia would be straight up counter-productive.

SCP 999 being the result of stopping the Montauk procedure on 231-7 is my favorite headcanon

The bit about The Scarlet King tricking the SCP into doing his job for him was great

Still not a permanent solution. People get old and die after all. Even in the most "optimistic" scenarios, they have about 100 years to the end of the world.

Subjecting them to constant stress results in shorter lifespan and implied 110-Montauk would greatly shorten hers. Could be as low as 20 before she gets a heart attack and dies.
