Oversimplified SCP - Ch. 68 - SCP-1471

Sooo.... basically, you've got a werewolf skull friend for free?

Okay then.

Um, it's euclid cuz it was an app and foundation can't contain data/object non physichally and it was euclid cuz they can't monitor the werwolf thing cuz they never seen one only the owner of the phone right? So it was euclid cuz the werwolf thingy (did it attack peopel?) or it just they can't contain it?

The classifications are about how difficult the anomaly is to contain. Basically a safe object is one that does nothing if you leave it alone. You can put it in a box in a warehouse and leave it there even if it's a button that could blow up the world so long as it requires human input to do something. Euclid anomalies are anomalies that are unpredictable. You can put them in a box somewhere but you can never be sure if they could escape. Keter anomalies are either uncontained or can't be contained for long. At least not yet, the Foundation doesn't give up on containing Keter anomalies because they're usually extremely dangerous. This anomaly is Euclid because of the fact that it is on the internet. All human anomalies and all internet based anomalies are automatically Euclid.

@Ganteng097 Ratings are determined almost purely by the question of how difficult they are to contain.
If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and nothing bad will happen, then it's probably Safe.
If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and you're not entirely sure what will happen, then it's probably Euclid.
If you lock it in a box, leave it alone, and it easily escapes, then it's probably Keter.
If it is the box, then it's probably Thaumiel.

In the case of SCP-1471, it is an app already on the store (thus cannot be contained without active effort) connected to an entity very few can interact with (only long term exposure to the app allows interaction) and so far nothing's happened beyond people being creeped out by it.

Ayy, they finally got to this one. Figured it went along with the tone this series has.

I admit it, they got me this time lol

The relief that washed over me after the last panel was shown can't be described 😂

It's been 68 chapters and people still don't understand how containment rank works. Really thick headed, huh?

Seems a lot of people still thinking containment class tied with how dangerous is the thing. Which is kinda honest mistake to do if they are new to SCP foundation, though still wrong since some Safe-level items are actually dangerous.

Maybe the author need to dedicate a chapter to explaining the containment class.

Sure it is inoffensive, but imagine this, you are shitting, and then you look there he is, watching you, wagging his tail, while you excrete your lunch, now i don't know about you, but i am no longer that fond of this SCP, i need my personal space not a personal stalker.
