I'm beginning to wonder about whether Sensei has ever had a boyfriend before?
I thought she was just doing it as an excuse to teach him a lesson, but then again why would she allow such situations in the first place.
@Samhill I admit I'm reading into it a little, but that's the only conclusion I can come to for that last line "A child, huh...", like she's mulling over the fact that despite being an adult, her first kiss was with a student, after Daichi admitted that it was his first kiss.
@Samhill@Xer0sama In the original text she says コドモだなぁ, コドモ meaning child and だなぁ having no clear meaning, to be honest, but it's generally used to portray that the speaker is wondering, maybe ruminating over whatever the rest of the sentence describes. I guess it could mean other things too, depending on the context but I'd generally translate it as either "huh" or "isn't it" or maybe as "I guess" though next to "A child," "huh" was the best word I could think of to translate it. It was most likely intended to be unclear by the mangaka. Whether she's referring to the kiss itself, her own feelings, or Daichi, it is open to interpretation.
The rule of half your age + 7 years should apply, so if sensei were 24 then 19 would be the oldest one of these students she could reasonably date without getting the odd looks. I think that means Daichi is officially "forbidden fruit".
