I mean, such trivial reasons never seemed to have stopped him before. It's even more evident from his actions after this - he basically made sure that he does "dishonest things", by following her.
This MC can't even be honest with himself...

@Ventress I'm guessing the author does this as a way of humanizing the MC but it just makes him look like an idiot since he just got done screwing Tia and has apparently forgotten he has a childhood friend waiting back home that he's clearly in love with.

So the author succeeded in humanizing him :/

This is fine. This is what happens when the Harem MC has balls and plows a waifu now and then.

Besides, if a person had a harem in real life, would you think that they are a good person in any way? So why would the MC be different?

The MC isn't honest with himself but its nice to see him actually getting into the sex and actually having attraction to the person. It's kinda boring seeing him bang someone and not showing any type of intimate feelings
