Read a spoiler that basically the adventurer's guild of that city is corrupt, so much so that they break the law of the government, it goes bad for them when his former party fails a conquest and the monster goes into a rage (which requires reporting to the government/guild leader because enraged monsters get stronger, leave the dungeon and attack towns, they don't report it because it would look bad on them and it would get the leadership involved), when the monster get's out, the corrupt guild lady shown in ch 2 being the big one, get's removed from her position, and the 2 asshats in his former party are on the run with warrants out for their arrests, the 2 innocent members don't get charged i think but not sure (might end up being part of the mc's party later but the raws aren't far enough for me to make a guess).

Sorry for the long paragraph but i kinda had to explain the entire thing to explain that dumb rule.

I still like that the other party are feeling the effects of losing him.

The rule was made up by the guild receptionist girl who is the exclusive receptionist to that party. She wanted to force the healer girl to stay in the party cause if they do well she gets credit for being their receptionist.

The pacing is....really odd.

There's definitely a story but the whole thing feels rushed and slow'd down (the info dump parts) at the same time.

Author has no chill to just let the story breathe. These two have only been together for one on screen dungeon raid and already he's dumping his lifestory on her. This isn't even the first time he's been dumped by a party so I don't know why he's even effected by it as much.

Yes, but now he's dumping his life story on her again. Even though he hasn't been through anything even remotely as dramatic. That's the entire joke with the page "you couldn't be that girl you have different hair". He's dumped his lifestory and his retelling of this story to the same person twice. Why is he doing it the second time?

No, he doesnt. The entire flashback was he reminding himself of old memories, and the latter part was just an idle talk.

Read the dialogue closely when he starts talking to her.
He starts the section with this.
"Honestly, you remind me of that girl. It all started because of that girl. She made me have the desire to become even stronger."
*story gets told*
Now we are in the current moment.
"Honestly, you remind me of that noble girl, she had short blond hair and was cute when she was little."
If he just said the later out of the blue with no context, the person hearing it would have no idea what the fuck he is talking about. It is very obviously being implied that he dumped his life story on this very same girl a second time.

That or the author is just dogshit in general and accidentally had the MC sound like a retard comparing the girl to an idea of one she has no concept of. Imagine if someone walked up to you on the street and said "you remind me of that poster with the lack of inability to read I talked with a long time ago." That's not how people talk. I for one, am going to at least give the author the benefit of the doubt of just being lazy as opposed to stupid.
