Pashiri na Boku to Koisuru Banchou-san - Vol. 4 Ch. 42

I don't get what she's trying to do and I don't care about her motives. Get er outta here!

Seems like a lot of people just want fuzzy romantic progress and not any actual character development. We've known from the beginning that Unoki's been through some shit and that it would have to be addressed in time. Now we have one of the key people responsible for his trauma present and he's trying to come to terms with and overcome it but apparently that's a "mistake" in some peoples eyes. Hell, the new girl's done more for the romance than most previous chapters.

@kantha @Lioslin
Agree. I do find her to be obnoxious, but bully characters are usually terrible by design so I just let it slide-it wasn't even bad this chapter. I'll take character depth from anywhere, for anyone in stories. More importantly, she's a vital tie into Unoki's past and present trauma, which makes her prime material for his character arc. And that's something I can super get behind.

...That said, I'm not letting any of this distract me from the fact that Unoki actively hugged Banchou on his own and they had a total flirty couple vibe going. Not ashamed to say I was "kyaah"-ing all the way through.

Well, why i'm following this manga up to 42 chapters so far because 2 main reasons :
1: Banchou's spats
2: Youdou's delicious pantyhose and thighs.

I think the author was deliberately making her look like a bad person and judging from people's responses, it worked

Haha, at first I thought she kabedon'd him and was trying to figure out why he fainted.

Honestly I like her. She's kind of a jackass and I most certainly don't Ship It, but she's a fun character.

Also this.

Is that supposed to be some sort of redemption? Some way to let us think: "oh, she isnt so bad after all."? Because it doesnt work that way... apologizing for psychotic behaviour with psychotic behaviour...
