I find the art style a little disturbing actually.. Its like they tried to make it more realistic but it just didn't come out right

So... Fleeing to the past counts as "overcoming adversity"?
And he wants to "protect everyone" but he didn't even think about anyone but himself.
I mean, if he comes from an apocalyptic future in which the majority of humans died to monsters and nuclear radiations, one would think that he would be a bit more emotional
about being able to reunite with people he so dearly wishes to protect, but I guess not.
Makes you wonder why he even wants to protect them...
