@Pen3 Character interactions, plot, some important character's introduction, an antagonist's verbal destruction, world building, the author's opinion on staffs in a martial arts manhwa, stuff like that. You call that "nothing" but then you can start calling 99-100% of contents of all stories that are there in the world "nothing".
@pengwing Please no, don't show me that. What if I see something I REALLY don't like?
@InedibleSpook a character nobody cares about and will probably never see again. I can guarantee you that anybody that accidentally skipped this chapter will never even notice it.
@Pen3 I am not saying that Peerless Dad's storytelling is perfect, I am honestly a bit at a loss with all of the different organizations' names thrown around and those Korean names are hard for me to memorize too. I really love the kids' and dad's sides in no small part because I know who the characters they are interacting with are, it's the times when we get transported to some room and shown some new character with the name box when things get difficult. Am I supposed to care who this guy is? Well, this chapter's new guy seems fairly important. If he ends up a nobody then you are right.
"I can guarantee you that anybody that accidentally skipped this chapter will never even notice it"
But with this I disagree, the previous chapter ends with one of the dads getting all angry and belittling the son's fighting style, in this chapter the teacher guy points out the faults in his accusations. If anyone enjoys and READS the kids' side of the story (and there are people like that, me, for example) they would be disappointed and/or puzzled by the sudden and abrupt transition from the guy accusing the son to the son fighting if they skipped this chapter. They might also wonder why the boy is wearing a red band on his head, if they are attentive enough. They also might not realize that it's the OTHER son, not the one who fought the previous two and wonder why the author let only one of the sons fight, while the other was left out.
@InedibleSpook
You are overexaggerating.
I didn't mean to skip a chapter but I did. When I did and read the following chapter, I didn't feel like I skipped a chapter at all.
When I noticed from the comments that I did do so, I went back to read this chapter, and it really added 0 value.
