What a shame... Somehow, when you think about all the animals we don't have anymore, don't you really wish that the Count and his "shop" were real?
But, just like the other tale of the Kagetsu: even if Nadeshiko were to go back and marry her fiancé, the japanese wolf would have faced extinction anyway since they would have to inbred, leading to generations of sickly pups... Just like "pure breed" pets that carry a lot of congenital illnesses due to irresponsible breeding
