As for the translation, I dunno. Putting skewer in the name helps convey a bit what she's handing him. On the other hand, using the real name allows googling it directly for those who want to dive into it. I guess it's a case for translation notes ? Although here, it's minor enough, don't know how many people besides me were interested in looking it up.
