People are not finding it hard to read (okay... maybe some). The whole hoo-ha stems from people making a fuss about finding Kaoru's actions contradictory to her main goal (the premise of the story), while the translator and co. are throwing a fit and focusing on the reason and motivation of her current action, disregarding her end goal. One side is talking about the whole story and the other side is going on about the current arc, and both side are arguing thinking they're on the same page.

@ZeroMomo Honestly, this is pretty decent translation quality coming from Estelion already. At least both the novel and manga translations for Kaoru are readable unlike the translations for Vampire's nap and Pupil of the Wiseman novels that they have on their site.

I was wondering what people were missing but that translator page cleared it up. This whole story is Kaoru calculating and executing plans to make her ideal life in this place I would have thought that was fairly obvious from the whole manga storyline but whatevs
