I don't mind Kaoru tearing into these priests. It was fun. She was probably the only one in a position to say everything she did too, so nobody else mentioning it is fair to me.

Maybe this actually happens in the novel, but I feel like things would work better if Kaoru regularly spoke with the goddess.

Firstly, it would sell the "they are friends" thing, since a single meeting, even if it lasted for hours, doesn't really mean you're friends-even more so when the standing of the people are pretty different.
Secondly, it would be less confusing when Kaoru speaks on the goddess's behalf, since people seem to struggle to understand whether she's lying about it or not.

And lastly, Celes seems like a fun, silly character. More of her sounds nice.
