Pretty Face

I remember reading this ages ago.

Re-read it and still enjoyed it. So nostalgic.

This, this is good. It’s an old manga that has every cliches and tropes in the book, but this manga makes them so funny and is so aware of them you’ll forget they were ever so corny. The supporting cast is just fantastic, great combination with a lovable main character. Like the author said, if the manga was longer they could’ve drawn more, and I think this manga could be even better, but even without the extra chapters, this is definitely still a timeless classic.

There is something I never understood : were his vocal cords modified ? You can't just pretend you're a girl with the voice of a grown-up karateka ?

This is my first time reading this manga and I'm glad that I did. I wholeheartedly enjoyed this story and will buy it if I ever find it. The premise of the selfless hero with a twist. I did wonder about Randoh's voice, too, but hey... This had all the feels that made me want to laugh, cry, get into a bar fight, then go hug every member of my family (including pets). I'm sad that the author did not get to expand as he would have liked, but that "slowness" also seemed to provide more consideration that conveyed the feelings he poured into the characters and storyline which allowed a feeling of completion. Even in real life, we don't know the happenings of all the lives we touch. Just know this touched mine. /smile

Curse you my memories. Suddenly, want to see that one particular scene. But, don't know which chapter it is.

Yep, time to go through the whole manga.

It's chapter 17
