I think this is probably the first time I've just full-on laughed at a Chinese Imperial Court Shenanigans series because it was actually hilarious, rather than just dumb.

This is fucking amazing - the whole thing is completely staged, because they're playing games with other people.

The fact that tall the servants were laughing makes me think that they are in on it as well and, keeping in mind how much of an act it is, thought it to be as hilarious as us readers. Only ones not in on it seem to be the personal maids/assistant of the three of them.
