. compared to other wuxia manhua. This is hardcore dude

Oh nice, just started reading the translated version of the novel and its quite intense.-

Interesting how there's little differences from the drama and the novel alike. So far it seems that the novel portrays the character as the most cruel and heartless...But in the Webtoon they are trying to show some "humanity"

Ugh, more plagiarised stuff, it's getting ridiculous. I'm glad that this one in particular might actually see court action.

I just read an entire cliff notes version of the novel that this is based off, turns out it's more of the typical Chinese drama where not a single character has any logic behind their actions, The type of story where a character will do things that go against everything we've learned about them just to further the incomprehensible plot. I was actually looking forward to reading this seeing that there's a decent chunk already translated over to English, but it's not worth the time.

@sedition This is based off of a novel that was originally called 11处特工皇妃, which is accused of plagiarising all sorts of books such as the 九州 series, 限制级特工, 帝王业, 斛珠夫人, 寻秦记. What was more ridiculous was that the author admitted to the plagiarism and promised to edit her work to remove the plagiarised portions, yet the new version kept most of the plagiarised segments and still went ahead to be used for the adaptions. One of the authors that was plagiarised from lawyered up last year, and as laughable as it sounds, the plagiarising author's legal team claimed that no plagiarism existed despite the earlier admission. E-book versions have already been taken offline and hearings began this year, though the outcome hasn't been announced yet.
