The moral of that story tells kids to not jump to conclusions so easily.

It's just a test to filter out a lier/cheater. Though in the original tale the difference between nobility and commoners are their sensitivity. So if she didn't still feel uncomfortable no matter how many mattresses they stacked, then the queen was right and the princess ain't a princess.

In this story it seems he did it just to see who had inside help. Who is cheating. But then again, I dunno since the flow of this story is weird.

Isnt it obvious that our mc told the prince that someone wanted to cheat and replaced the peas? And told him that him that if he doesn't believe it then tomorrow he will see only one person claim to have not slept peacefully.

MC told the prince someone was trying to cheat, they checked the mattresses and when they saw only one bed with a pea they removed it, so there wasnt actually a pea under her mattress either
so the new test was this: if the peas being removed was just MC trying to frame the blonde princess, the blonde princess would have no reason to say she slept badly bc there was nothing under her bed
the prince is calling her a cheater bc she's saying she felt something under the mattress when actually there was nothing there, meaning she knew there was supposed to be a pea under the mattress for the test
