Damn, I feel like she works really hard, but she kinda gets manipulated into doing a lot of stuff that she doesn’t really need to do (by her boss, then by this jerk). Maybe that’s what he meant that she should stop thinking sheer hard work can get her what she wants. But then again, if it wasn’t for his pettiness, she’d have probably gotten the opportunity for her company

i think the reason hes being difficult is that she invited him out for what he though was a date without clerifying anything then told him it was for business. Like he was expecting she was asking him out but then she asked for his money basically. I think both sides are at fault tbh.
