Protagonist x Rival (Webcomic) - Ch. 12

The more I read this the more I feel like it's a story of an otomege where there's a Yuri route and the heroine of said is actively courting the protagonist. Meanwhile the her route is... trying his best but it just leads to bullying of the protagonist and more chances for the Yuri route.

Well I think Miss Rival is truly mastering the art of of the threatmantic compliment. I don't think protagonist-chan didn't know at the end there whether to be threatened or flattered and Hiyama is at least figuring out what it takes to sorta encourage/compliment her without coming off like someone taking the yakuza enforcer entrance exam.

I don't like Miss Rival, she's very manipulative and possessive. I cannot ship this unless she gets her act together.

This was the first chapter of the series I read (and likely my last). Popped in after reading the description and seeing the tags and figuring out what it's about. The rival just seems creepy as all hell; in literally any other circumstance, the rival would be called a very clear asshole, but because it's a cute girl, oh, everything's cool.

Haha, There's no way the author would do the same gag of cliche evil shoujo antagonist to actually crush for 12 chapters in a row.

Narrator: They did.

As much I like the yuri, the plot has been repetitive with the same cliche again and again, and there are no progression between Kimura and Hiyama. It's as if Kimura is hanging Hiyama's feelings without even thinking about it, because she's too busy with Mizushima. At least give her a reply or something...... Need progression....

@Diciannove44 I'm more upset that there has been progression. Because the progression is straight towards Greek tragedy. Heavy yandere is becoming more and more forceful in how she claims ownership and physical injury is likely to follow. (By her behavior it seems unavoidable - playing girlfriend with her can only delay it, while also leading straight into "battered spouse syndrome" since she would also have been "complicit" in her mind since she then would have somewhat accepted the relationship.)

So um... has Hiyama informed her childhood friend/ school buddy Mizushima she's a lesbian yet? Because I feel a lot of this could be quasi avoided if she told the flagmaster she was interested in Kimura.
