I disagree. I think every chapter is a new timeline and every different chapter is the first conversation they're having in this new timeline.
In the last chapter, she gets a new haircut wanting Mizushima to notice her.
Now she wants to give him chocolate yet not notice her (or rather her feelings).
Hiyama once again showing that not only is she the MVP of intercepting mixed signals but was also able to revive and bounce back quite quickly after that yuri induced stroke her proclaimed girl of sin Kimura gave her in the last chapter. The one thing I will applaud Hiyama on is she realizes on some level the basement depth lvl of Kimura's self esteem so through her own brand of positive reinforcement she's doing what she can to help the poor girl raise if it is cm by cm.
