@BestBoy man, and it's in an even more tragic way. Originally I was thinking "just discovered her magic, went wrong" or "tried to save her, went wrong" which are bad, but accidental. "My yandere personality doesn't want you to leave, went wrong, and now I have to live knowing that I did that forever" is waaaaaaaaaaaaay more traumatic.

So the infection was even worse than we thought? I thought it was just her brash alternate personality being reckless and getting her sister killed as a consequence. But it looks like this third(?) personality was far, far more complicit in doing so.

I know they didn't have much of a choice, but it must've been horrible for Melie to have to relive such a traumatizing experience.
