I couldn't stand this in the anime, and I can't stand it here. Subaru receives the most heartfelt confession I've ever seen, from the girl he just wanted to run away with, and then he just rejects her and starts talking about another girl. I wish the author didn't follow the trope of "the first girl the MC meets is always the only option". I'm glad that the Re: Zero IF spinoff exists.
