So now our MC can travel between worlds without needing to use portals. That's incredibly useful, he can basically reach anywere in any realm just by being there once.

ah I see why the mc's best friend is coming along with him instead of him going alone, mr/mrs author, you can't fool me! it's because the mc can escape anytime by using the archmage's subspace but his friend who is also weaker than him can't and so if his friend gets captured the mc won't easily escape and instead try to help his friend

The story has kind of gotten away from itself when a guy who started a game solely to read books gets a quest that says "read books" and goes "maybe later". Like, dude what.
