It's actually not as far-fetched as you may think. It's a field called Xenotransplantation. Studied about it way back in medical school. The field's been around since the early 1900s. It's currently not suited for long-term use, but nothing's to say that they can't use "magic" to get past long-term graft rejection. Functionally, the organs would work pretty much the same otherwise.

@Hell_Satan Actually this can work for short term blood filtration (with pigs if i remember correctly) and with some other stuff. They're going an extra step of actually putting the organ inside the person, but it could work with magic qi powers i guess

@hell_satan the transplantation process of an animal, while currently impossible for total organ replacement, does have some merit. The most common one that I can think of here in the states is cardiac valve replacement with a porcine (pig) valve. It’s actually a pretty common procedure.
