Rebranding and advertisements

[ol]1. These ads are awesome and made me smile many times. I also discovered new manga. Thanks![/ol]
[ol]2. This should be an ongoing thing, not just a one day joke. Make it an option.[/ol]
[ol]3. It also shows this website has a bit of discoverability problem. Newest and top are not enough. Featured / recommended section would be a good thing.[/ol]

I wouldn't mind at all if seeing the "ads" became a toggleable option like hentai.
These ads were useful, and I was able to find some good reads with those ads (not to mention that they're pretty funny).
I guess if it became a regular feature, some of the ads would need to be toned down, but overall, I actually like it a lot.

Agreed on 3. They're set up so it rewards popularity, which in turn makes them more popular. Something like staff picks would be a great to promote older or more niche series. There's a few series I'd love to rec for something like that.

My only issue with the ads is that their quite biased in terms of sexuality -- not everyone on this website wants a waifu ok -- pls include ads for husbandos, sugar parents, gender-queer spouses and whatever it is that furries like (mates?) idk but just saying y'all could use some inclusivity trainign

@kuro-tan Many of our ads are by user submission. The yaoi groups just didn't have enough spirit this year!

@kuro-tan Have you never seen an ad? They're all sexual lol. The point of making these sexual is to parody those cancerous ads. If this was gonna be an ongoing thing, the ads are probably not at all sexual but for an April Fool's joke, it's hillarious.

Also, I'd rather see staff-picks rather than diversity if Imma be honest. If the mods want more diversity, so be it but I'd rather see what they recommend personally.

I just thought less people would feel the need to complain if the pandering was more diverse or not targeted so strongly towards male lolicons lol. Carry on~

Literally this is why I love this site. Ads are fine with moderation (like old mangarock app). Have some better control over the ads though so it's not like myanimelist (where I sometimes need to turn on adblock). Ads about a trip to hawaii is fine, not ads about single ladies in my area.
