@icekatze Who's cheering him on? The driver thinks he's a funny kid so he lets him go, but other than that no one else has a reason to stop Akira; he's a loner. The other kid has companions and is borrowing the equipment of the group, so they would lose out on their investment if he died. One's a nobody, one's a somebody. Simple as.
So are those tanks suppose to be like that machine thing that appeared a few chapters ago and actually sentient (in the sense of performing their own actions) or are they just the city’s weapons
@Blaster746 remember, there's war dogs, in early chapters, that pretty augmented themselves? Maybe core or some other parts of this "tanks" organic? Or maybe it's just figure of speech, like bitch - just female canine type animal, but people use it as rude word on over humans(or animals, or computers, or stuff, regardless of gender). )
