@Drinkfist damn! You're totally right! What about that little fellow? He sent him as a messenger to the tribe, but hasn't shown up since. Even the author has "forgotten" him. With him it would have been too easy to clear the poison after all. xD

Ah boy, what a time for the psychos from the warriors' test to show up.
On the other hand, high-complexity situations like this are always interesting to me, there are so many ways they could go. I love when numerous forces face off against each other. Scenarios with more than two sides are often more exciting.

I don't think anyone's even mentioned Dirik again since he left to deliver that message. The author seriously just forgets it exists and whips it out again on a whim if he does remember it. One of the most powerful creatures in the desert, and it's not even a consistent mascot character. Maybe it's watching the baby we haven't seen in a while either, despite a literal succession conflict occurring right now.
