Right, she only saw him fall and never get back out. I guess she would generally assume he died back then. His sword isn't exactly a distinguishing feature either considering that other guy had the same one, so given how much they've both changed physically since back then only vaguely feeling like they're similar is okay I guess.

Oooooooooooooooohh, now I realize why she couldn't recognize young glow. She totally thinks he's dead and since they've both changed so much and his sword isn't exactly one of a kind then it makes total sense.
