Lol I dont know if the author is trying to do a "gotcha" or something with this amazon-like tribe but it doesn't make any sense to have a setting with powerful desert warriors, then have a tribe of women warriors who don't recognize those same male warriors as warriors? If anything they'd be more like a tribe of Spartans with both being trained and educated?

Princess Diana and her women lived on a magical island all having hundreds of years in lifespan with the power of gods which is why it worked there but these folks all live together in the same landscape? Maybe a different amazon myth that i dont know?

Couldn't get in the water with your clothes on or put them back on before getting ready for the assault? Isn't it the only clothing protecting them from weapons? I guess i'll let it slide about using your clothes to make sure your weapons didnt get soaked but just barely...
