@Gormin 21 is relatively middle, I guess. Thankfully there are several other status windows that I can compare with, and there are others with double and more of his ambition score.
Still, the way ambition is defined in the stat menu bugs me
Reuploaded chapter 1 because the me at 1am forgot to turn anti-aliasing on for all the text. Text should be much easier to read now hehe. If the skill cards are hard still, I apologize but they hate me.
@onionskins Yeah, but it's a cheat that will only let him get strong companions. Normally the MC is stupidly powerful himself and still strong people flock around him even though he could deal with almost everything by himself. And skills like appraisal or spacial storage are just additional abilities. If appraisal is the only skill of the MC here it ultimately forces the author to write smartly.
@oculunus Honestly I don't really see it as a cheat. What makes is maybe cheap, is that he is an heir to a territory, which is what makes that ability potentially strong. If he was just normal dude mcguy running a Popsicle stand, he would have to develop extraordinary leadership skills to be able to have people, especially talented people, to follow him. Because he's already set to inherit, people already are treating him as a future/leader-to be, so his leadership skills are already on a fast track.
A cheat would be to kill a slime and then suddenly gain enough magic to lift a volcano or throw cities at other cities. That raw strength is a cheat. Being able to help others reach their potential is the ideal skill set of a manager, not the Yuusha whose going to beat the evil Maou for the Heavyweight Championship belt at SummerSlam live at the demon castle.
@GurenNoOu Ooh now that you put it that way it makes sense. Guess I was too paranoid to give it proper thought. Well, atleast now my heart feels at ease accepting that scene.
