Some people obviously knew what a trap was. The ambiguously brown subordinate immediately knew what a trap was before he'd fully mentioned it. There was a book written about it, so clearly there are people in that society who know what a trap was. For it to be hard for some to believe that a few illiterate dudes living out in the woods by themselves might not know what a trap is is itself hard to believe.

Things that bothered me so far and lost potential the author did not explore.

The kids from chapter 9 should have been brought in and taken care of by the "Princess" and now, Rosel's father should also be brought in, and he could even take care of the small kids.

Lords servants and soldiers in the past used to bring their relatives and very close people to live with them in the houses provided for them.
It was not uncommon AT ALL for things like that to happen, so it bothers me a LOT that the author did not approach it like that.

They left 4 kids less than 5 years old to survive alone and now they are doing a major work to hunt before winter when it is as easy as moving in with his soldier and vassal sons and being provided for, which was COMMON PRACTICE.
