Reincarnated as an Aristocrat With an Appraisal Skill - Vol. 4 Ch. 29 - A Father's Wish

@cacaada No correct me if Im wrong but this manga focused on other characters development more than mc development so far and now its finally time to see growth of Ars (Or maybe I didnt notice his growth because of reading with long breaks)

To be fair, they've made animes out of much worse series. At least this one isn't full of gross sexual assault by the MC!

I mean...a deredere girlfriend is good. The reborn aspect kinda makes it weird, but not weirder than the emphasis on Charlotte's chest when she shouldn't even be that age yet.

Well, I'm glad the father realized he is a dumbass for not training his heir for the one freaking job he has. And it's not like Ars wasn't mature enough for it. Sure he is kind and peaceful, as part of being a reincarnated modern person, but he was also very mature for his age. If anything, he should have been following his father on the nastier aspects of ruling from an earlier age.

Also, kind of pointless of him to ask them to follow Ars. "Remember the guy who actually recruited you, saw your true value when no one else did? Yeah, please pretend like my opinion matters and follow him as a favor to me, even though I'm talking shit about how he is so weak." I would get it if they were his own retainers that he recruited, and he was asking them to show his son the same loyalty they showed him, but these guys are Ars own retainers. They're only technically his because he is the lord and thus the one actually paying their salaries. The whole scene is him saying "do what you were already going to do, but pretend I mattered at least a little in this comic." Like seriously, has the father done anything of note? Did he ever even start to prepare Ars for his role?

Rosel is like 5 times as weak as the MC, how the fuck does he get to go to war and witness death but the MC can't? Wtf is up with that logic?

@Kynnath the only thing his dad did to prepare him was kill that criminal in front of his eyes but only that and a little too late, he let him roam in the nice things for too long and now he has to take the nasty side of nobility with little time to prepare, also i completely agree with you that this chapter was a bunch of nothing, dont know how this hit the heart of many here when nothing said here means anything.

So the five-year-old can go to war but the reincarnated ADULT man in a child's body can't... I hate isekai.
