actually, its common for manga to do this. They show a snip of the story before going back to give you the back history that led up to that point. Looking at how the manga looks untranslated, it takes until 6-1 to catch up with that sneak peak in chapter 1

The first 4 chapters: Standard isekai and minor political stuff, with barely a hint of magic or studying. The story is a bit all over the place at the beginning, too.
