Reincarnation no Kaben - Vol. 8 Ch. 39 - Strategy Meeting to Hunt Stray Returners

Still cant picture why Nightingale's waiting for Alan Smithee more mysteries are bound to unfold for the next chapters

Seriously though, where were all those returners during the epic fight between good and evil, just sitting in their cells waiting for their leader and friends to die?

Also Alan Smithee is a pseudonym movie directors used to hide their worst films, so I have a feeling Smithee isn't gonna be a good guy.

@dool0823
If they were following Kouu's orders, they were probably told to sit still because they would be needed beyond Kouu's death. Nostradamus' book would reveal as much.

@dool0823, On the contrary, i'm thinking that cuz Alan Smithee is basically used to "protect" film directors from the shame of their not-so-fine own creations, i have a feeling this guy is somekind of a higher entity that are tasked with "protecting" the Seed/Returners as a whole from something that can be considered worst scenario.

But yeah, doesn't necessarily mean they won't be antagonistic to our heroes unfortunately.

i feel like this guy is like a god entity cause alan smithee is a director ?a director who directs the flow of the world? or maybe only a pawn of god

From comment below, I think I understand what will be going to happen.

If his ability is to cover people identity to become this guy, that means whoever that is covered can do whatever they want without breaking a promise. It's like a spy, I guess.

and we don't even know if these people are the same person even. we might know when they revealed themselves?

What if.... the 4 allan is Anthony, Joe, Taika (korg) and Favreau (happy)...

TEN TEEN TENEEEEENNEEEENNNN TEEENNN TENNNNN TEEENNNNNNNN... TEN TEN TENENEN TEN TEN TEN TENENEN TEN...

Ah so Tesla isn’t Nightingale’s slave either. White petals. And now we know there’s more returners on the human's side which is good to know.
And that creepy nofaced dude it seems like he either is some sort of entity that has some supernatural power, or he is multiple people who hide their identity behind the name "Alan Smithee"

I did not expect a couple things:
First that Napoleon was going to be shown, and second that the whale thing is Rachel Carson. I'm surprise Napoleon was shown frankly because I just assume that they were going to bring out more obscure names instead that most people wouldn't know about. Next I literally learned about who Rachel Carson was just recently, through her famous book Silent Spring which has to do with the pollution of pesticides on the American ecosystem, crops, and animal life. This was even more surprising because I remember it was mentioned while I was learning about her that she was marine biologist, and she had written some books in regards to that too but Silent Spring is what made her famous. The whale like most people were assuming either Moby Dick, Captain Ahab, or the author Herman Melville.

@AbuHajaar But it's not just that, he could either be similar to our MC, and "steal" people's abilities, maybe edit them?, or maybe he's an ex-machina type character that's meant to be neutral like a Whis in DBS

I think the author did a good job of making this no face guy mysterious and interesting. I really want to know who is and what he's doing. The whole thing with Haito having met him the previous chapter also helps the suspense.

*I didn't know what the name meant. Knowing it's to hide disowned films makes it 10x creepier.
