Reiri - Vol. 4 Ch. 17 - To Takatenjou

I doubt it'll go completely ahistorical, so Ieyasu probably convinces her somehow to let him go?

Hm, Wikipedia tells me Ieyasu lived to be 73, given that he's 40 in the chapter means there will be some wiggling and scheming. Very nice chapter..

I'm guessing he'll explain to her that his death won't break the siege or make Oda ease up on the Takeda, and that instead his whole army will want to exact a far more gruesome revenge on the people she's trying to protect. The more resentful a besieging army becomes, the worse they treat their captives or victims.

@LowSanity
Probably just spearmanship in general. Contrary to what media would tell us the katana was not the main weapon of soldiers, footman or samurai. It was usually a spear. A katana was more or less like a handgun, a side arm rather than a main weapon

@Harouki I know, i was trying to point out that "spearing" doesn't mean fighting with a spear. I'm just not sure if they were trying to say she learned how to hunt or how to fight with a spear.

@LowSanity - Could be both since she's to be a double for the young lord. Although given the military context of this manga, I think it's more likely that they focused on military applications.

But I wonder what's in her little bag early on. What would women carry in those - perfumes, makeup, money?
