I was wondering a bit about the wisdom of posting a bunch of slow-firing missile troops who need to light matches to use their weapons under a moonless night sky. I mean, wasn't it obvious that they'd be useless because they'd blind themselves with those matches while making themselves very well-lit targets for the enemy? Then it turned out Japanese historians agree Tokugawa actually did station arquebusiers there that night. Apparently it was as much of a blunder in real life as this manga is depicting, minus badass warrior girl.
