So deep down she believes in a MERITOCRACY. She has not said any thing about government getting more involved in peoples lives. She did not touch economics in this chapter though the last time she did it was... form trade deals. Though it was true she mentioned standard of living inequality I'd sight both Cuba and Vaisala as modern example of THAT kind of inequality. Now in anyone knows which politics they subscribe to feel free to share.
The politics she is advocating would be Classical Liberal, which for a reference point both Canadian and American Conservatives are left of the Classical Liberal.
Capitalists believe in equality. They believe that only the best for the job should get it. Regardless of stupid things like bloodlines, nationalities, ethnicities, gender and whatnot. That is the foundation of a MERITOCRACY, which at its root capitalisms tries to be.
The old Aristocracy has more in common with socialism then people like to think. A noble that governs the land, decides what is done with the taxes, decides the taxes, and the laws. Has the ability to have his hand in every aspect of your everyday life... Oh and lets not forget serfs (which weren't as common as people like to think but still good to bring up as a reference point) did not own the land, the lord did. He owned their produce. All of it. He divided it among himself and his people as he saw fit. I dont know about you but that smells a little like communism to me.
This is all to say that politics is a really messy subject. Don't assume that just because you like something means that the other side does not agree, or that it is necessarily on your end of the political spectrum.
In fact they'd do the opposite of good virtues. I feel like what she thinks what a Villain/Villainess is a superficial image of a "Cool anti-hero badass" type instead of a real Villain/Villainess figure and their criminal conducts.
