I think the artist's tendency is showing again. That Sleeping Island settlement was way too nice - especially the "mansion". IIRC all the housing was basically built from raised earth (same as the outer wall of the Island) because that could be built quickly and without needing much of anything for construction materials (which the island lacks). Just like with Bordertown - they refuse to draw terrible or barely adequate dwellings. It gives a very different impression.
Even with my complaints, I still like it.
