I think the artist's tendency is showing again. That Sleeping Island settlement was way too nice - especially the "mansion". IIRC all the housing was basically built from raised earth (same as the outer wall of the Island) because that could be built quickly and without needing much of anything for construction materials (which the island lacks). Just like with Bordertown - they refuse to draw terrible or barely adequate dwellings. It gives a very different impression.

Even with my complaints, I still like it.

Yes I know that up to this they cant have children, on the first (and this) comment(s) I was just making fun
And I also agreed with you that the island is a place for asylum
Still, as far I can see, the witches will fight the church because the church look for power and domination and will use that xenophobic excuse to try take over them when the church find out about the island

@megavirus: Witches can't procreate with human as far as history goes (both consensual and rape case)

And I think their ideal scenario is that the place become more of a safe haven/hideout rather than a completely isolated community.
There'll be people like Ash who go out and find new witches and tell them about it, and if they accept take them along to the island.
Those who can't/don't want to fight the church can live in quiet peace here and provide support in the background much like an army still need supplies.
