Release That Witch - Ch. 140 - A long-awaited Victory!

like... why?

I'll never understand why the manwhaka draws genitals if they are just going to add intrusive faces over it afterwards. Couldn't they simply have drawn clothes there in the first place instead? Or at the very least used a gray/white blot to censor it instead of something that draws a humans eyes like a face?

@kaminomikan
because of this...

@feha
it is easier to draw it as you draw anything else around it and then hide it to the degree you (and mostly your publisher) thinks it is ok to show minors

@halloween20 Still, the manwhaka or his published didn't have to opt for faces of all things :p And my point was about drawing her clothed in the first place, no need to draw nudes where it doesnt fit the narrative.

Also, seems ppl got their hands of uncensored versions anyway. So the publisher isn't doing a good job if they want to stop ppl from seeing it.

@feha
some scanlation sides do it to (according to their own conviction)
i don't know if this is true for this scanlation group or if they just got censored raws...

@feha @halloween20 is correct. The publish/RAW did not put Lightning face there for censoring. Lightning face was added by us for moral reason. Otherwise all the discussion will be about the ecchi stuff, and not the manhwa itself. Also, sometime the artist made a mistake or forgot to fill the detail.

Check chapter 134. Compare our release to the RAW. You'll understand why lightning censoring is necessary. (you can find raw by googling Rawdevart and enter the title and chapter.)

I checked 134, and I think I found the panel (page 23?). Though you never censored that, even in your version it is merely a pantyless loli (or do you mean the one further down at 25? with that angle I am disinclined to google raws :p). That said, I don't think there is much of a moral reason to censor it, the context is neither sensual nor sexual (upskirts at most), and particularly for the younger characters I doubt anyone will ever think of it that way (if only that were true...).

That said, I think I made my reasoning clear that I don't complain about censorship so much as about the fact you use a face to do it. While I easily ignore nudity normally if it isn't of a sexual kind, when I see a face then my eyes are obviously drawn there (its how human works, we look for the eye-eye-mouth pattern everywhere (at times even where there is none: Pareidolia). So I will notice it, and when I notice censorship I will have to assume it is sexual, which just makes it annoying and creepy.
I much prefer if you just blotted it out, as then it is likely to pass without even being recognized as there in the first place. So do feel free to censor, but like I said, why use a face? :p
