as her understanding of the little particles (everything is made of molecules/atoms and how they interact with each other) grew, she is now able to freely change the flames from cold to hot, wide to thin so that you can't even see it...

Structured flames... are the envy of scientists? How?
I can just use lasers, pressured water or just pressure for any applications.
Flames are useless, and can simply be "structured" with high energy EM radiation anyway.

Its the difference between knowing that a process can be done by doing a sequence of actions and knowing how that process works.
For example, we know how fire can be made but once we start one apart from fanning it and putting it out, we can't really do much to manipulate the actual flame outside of specific conditions. To gain the knowledge to do so would be to bring in many great advances, I'm sure of that.
Again, it's not about the process. It's about the knowledge behind that process, because applying that knowledge to other things we can achieve so much more.

Try to make fire into a cube.
We got Earth into a cube, a perfect one at that. Water, all too easy. Air is another easy deal. But when dealing with High-EM energy, it's hard to make it into a perfect cube or sphere that'll last 10 seconds.
Lasers are on the list, but that's just a beam or a straight shot that once it hits a surface, it refracts.
