Very powerful moment, especially as seen in the Kanketsu-hen anime episode.

But it kind of doesn’t make sense to me that the writing has to be manually erased by Onoya. The Lab is apparently able to delete invidivual faces from photos, is that all manually done in a single night? Pretty hard to believe.

Okay, the whole memory loss thing is stupid and contrived as is, but why did onoya have to erase the writing on her hand? like seriously, the higher ups, management, support and everyone in the company wants the two to remember each other. They keep saying its regrettably impossible, but there are other ways to safeguard their memories write a fucking diary, write them down. But no, on one hand they are desperate for the two to retain memories of each other, and on the other even writing info about the other person so that they might look them up afterwards is not allowed. This completely undermines what is supposed to be a very powerful moment, it turns it into a complete joke.

+1 to not getting why Onoya needs to erase the writing on Hishiro's hand especially considering that their relife has effectively ended and everyone wants Hishiro and Kaizaki to retain their memories anyway. Agree with hamma95 although, I wouldn't go as far as saying it turns the powerful moment into a joke, just a weird inconsistency.
