Yes, as the translator said, Kafman already had feelings for Navier even before taking the potion which made the effects very potent (also the reason why he drank it in front of Navier despite fully knowing the reason why since aside from being the one to give the gift, he himself concocted that potion lol) basically said, he's just really too tsundere to express his feelings for Navier and the potion gave him an excuse to do so HAHAHAAHAHAH.

Also, next chapter, Sovieshu will witness the tension between Kafman and Heinley and would step in the chaos which would end up with Kafman punching him in the face (SERVES HIM RIGHT) HAHAHAHAAHHA
