I prefer Kaufman to Heinley too, but sadly she thinks that everything is the result of the love potion because he is just as good (normally) at ignoring his own emotions as she is. It would be hard for them to have a healthy relationship until one of them is completely self-aware AND honest.

Meanwhile, Heinley fills the role of Manic Pixie Dream Boy. Not my preference but he works in the story.

Rashta makes some really selfish and in some cases evil decisions. Mostly she is ignorant, not completely stupid, and the only person who is honestly trying to help her is the Baron who is teaching her to read. Even Sovieshu only sees her as entertainment or an ego boost and now the Mother Of His First Child. Duke Ergy seems to have his own agenda.

So I don't hate Rashta nearly as much as I hate Sovieshu. He is clearly selfish, thinks the world revolves around him, and is bad at self-reflection, so he hurts both Navi and Rashta indiscriminately and then blames them for it!

I also really like Kafman over Heinley, too, and both of them are faaaar better choices than Sovieshit. Heinley being endgame (not a spoiler it's revealed at the beginning of this manhwa) honestly fits Navier more than Kafman. But if I were Navier, I'd choose Kafman w/o even blinking.

I haven’t read the novel but from I’ve been told, Navier was never actually infertile, the emperor was. The reason he brought Rashta was mainly because he believed that the empress was infertile because of poisoned cookies he gave her when they were kids (he didn’t know at the time that his mom poisoned them for his dad’s concubine). He never told anyone about him giving them to her and he never told Navier that his mom said they were poisoned. He started to get suspicious of this when Navier became pregnant after marrying the prince. A dna test was done that found that “his” child was actually from Rashta’s former lover and he was the infertile one the whole time.

What someone said cuz the translator stopped after asked by author, but someone said that navier is infertile but the prince found a spell to cure her. I meant is possible that both empress and emperor could be infertile cuz both ate the cookies. I dont remember well cuz I only remember him sneaking out with the cookies to give food to navier that was in her training and was hungry

i don't understand his logic? Why does the empress get a double standard but it's completely fine for him to bring trash around everywhere?? He don't even care for her (rn) so I don't understand why he keeps butting in? It's not affecting anything! Everybody at court would say, "Finally, a real man to bring her happiness and peace of mind" (Though she don't need a man, but if she did, bless Heinly)
