For everyone in the comments, Trashoe taking Trashta in wasn't a bad thing; after all, Trashta did live in some pretty bad circumstances prior, but what makes Trashta so evil is the fact that she's manipulative and selfish. Essentially, she was provided with better conditions than she could've ever imagined, but instead of being grateful for her new position and using it to benefit others like her who didn't grow up in good conditions, she used it to spread lies in order to sabotage other members of nobility in order to cover up rumors about her own past, and believe me, it's really complicated. Trashta also used her power to get rid of anyone who would expose her, all while hiding under that "innocent" façade of hers. Not to mention, she drove a wedge between Navier and Trashoe, so she's also a hoewrecker.

You'll see in the coming chapters.

@Soluiz Regardless of whether or not you were a slave, she deliberately destroyed someone else's marriage for her own benefit. That's just general asshole behavior. Plus, while the Empress hasn't been especially kind to her, she hasn't been especially rude either. The Empress doesn't want to have anything to do with her, but she keeps not getting the message and not respecting her boundaries. Of course Emperor Shitbin is more at fault because he made her a concubine and is essentially cheating on his wife in front of her, rather than sending her off somewhere. But that still doesn't make Trashta a good or even a respectable person by any means. If someone doesn't like you, don't fuck with them and don't invade their personal space, especially when you were warned MULTIPLE times with NO punishments. A slave should understand that especially well, considering that their happiness and freedom were shit on constantly. Also, don't send your boy toy of an emperor at her as well. That's just despicable and manipulative behavior. Trashta isn't the only one being used, Emperor Shitbin is too. Emperor Shitbin wants Rashta as a trophy wife that listens to his every command. Trashta wants Shitbin to give her status, affection, and a life of luxury. Their relationship is laughable yet they act as though they are superior to the Empress who spends her days working to better the Empire. Fucking revolting behavior of troglodytes wearing human skin.

@blazing_daze There isn't much she really can do in her situation. The Emperor has more power than her clearly, since he can hit her with no action taken against him. So if she schemes against Rashta, she gets trashed on by the Emperor. Even if there is no evidence, the Emperor would perceive that as proof that it could only be Navier. If she schemes against the Emperor, she is essentially weakening her country and its image, unless she just has him assassinated. Not to mention that such behavior is treason and is punishable by death. Her goal is legit to just be a good Empress, and at the moment, her position itself isn't being threatened, she's just being harassed daily. In her eyes, that's not a big deal because as long as she is the Empress at the end of the day she doesn't give a fuck. So her plan is essentially to do nothing and wait for them to fuck off. I'm assuming she starts making moves later on when her position is threatened, hence why she and Heinley get married.

If you actually read more history book and maybe look any of the incidents I named it be clear that your statements are completely false.
This is a "monarchy" which is real government and social system. Its not treason unless she try's to get someone of higher status then her killed, I named basic politics powerplays with a range of outcomes that everyone in this time period did. In fact people still do this in politics. Stealing power in itself, does not weaken a country. This has happened in numerous nations around the world through out history, including some of the strongest first world countries that have had their leaders assigned and still remained global super power. [Which are also in my examples you clearly didn't even read].Maybe you think ancient European female= completely powerless but, no the situation in this story is copied from * real* historical power structure its based on would not make her this powerless.


Her position is being threated as well , which would be obvious if you knew anything about the historical monarchies. At this point it seem to just be racism where ya'll just ignore facts about how entire well known still existing cultures operate that are still well known today based of some bizarre kind of sexist idea to think all woman in this time period are completely helpless ?? idk. The random Korean author made up the characters, changed a few things sure....not the laws , political or social systems. Peoples culture and history aren't fantasy. If the writer of this story was more original and actually made new fantasy laws I might agree with you depending on what those law’s where but this *snipped* from real countries.

@blazing_daze When I referred to it as being treason, I meant depending on how far she goes against the Emperor's own interests. If she harrasses Trashta enough or tries to get rid of her, he can pull the treason card and have her ousted from her position. This isn't because she's a fucking women, its because Sovieshu is royal by blood, while I'm fairly certain Navier isn't. She was a high ranking noble, but that is still outranked by royal blood. If it was the other way around, Navier would obviously have more power. And for further clarification, when I was talking about treason, I wasn't referring to a legitimate treasonous act. It's just a very simple way to take care of someone who is acting against your interests. Of course it's an abuse of power, but that isn't uncommon for any era.

When I was talking about weakening the country/its image, I was talking about her making the Emperor look like a fucking idiot or plotting against him. The Emperor is the face of the country and making him look like a fucking idiot is simply bad for business. Of course if she wanted to outright overthrow him, stealing power and favor from other countries/nobles would be a good move. But she doesn't want to do any of that from the looks of things. She isn't interested in performing a coup.

She isn't exactly powerless, but her other options aren't too favorable either.

And finally about the reading examples bit, dude I didn't read your other comments because I didn't see the older ones.

Edit: Her position isn't being directly threatened, but yes her power is clearly being undermined. It's not exactly the same thing, but I see your point. Idk where you're getting the racism shit from. Makes like 0 sense. Not being informed about a culture that is constantly being misrepresented in media and honestly isn't very relevant in the modern day isn't racist. Imagine saying someone is racist for not understanding the nuances of African politics. The only people that would know are those with an interest in it, because it isn't relevant to everyday life. I do agree that people shouldn't take what they see on TV at face value, but when it comes to something as irrelevant as politics from a different era who tf cares if people are misunderstanding things? It was socially acceptable for people of this time period to hate concubine/mistress/ sex slaves whatever the term is depending on the nation. Unmarried woman, even those who were mistress of Emperor were culturally shamed around the world and most eventually had to leave court. This should be obvious by the fact that there is a well known word for “loose woman” slut and not a well known one for men. In addition to the fact that most mistress who did get the king or Emperor power did last . . like Poor Ann Boylin that got beheaded.

* Making the Emperor look bad isn’t really bad for business clearly you still don’t know how a monarchy works. Assentation to the throne is based on marriage and blood. There are numerous rulers through out history that are not good rulers but it has 0% do with them being crowned. It has always been about blood and family linage , that’s why babies and children even though their clearly were not able to lead their people got crowned . People with crippling birth defects that effect their cognitive abilities like King Tut of Egypt and the Halsingborg royal family get crowned.[ fun fact: the birth defects were due to constant incest]

yeah this why I presumed you were being racist. Its not that random at all considering its relevant to the story. Also Monarchies still exist and several monarchies did things that effect the way the world works today that's why its relevant. Do you know any of the pre-existing effects of what countries like Great Britain did today that effect countries like India or Ghana that effect things today ? Then for the whole point about making the emperor look bad, you genuinely just made no fucking sense. No one was talking about ascension to the throne, I was talking about growth and development of the empire. That is strongly tied to the image of the royal family. If the emperor looks like dog shit, it makes the empire look like dog shit. That affects relations with other countries and has nothing to do with assentation, which I never mentioned so Idk where the fuck you got that from. There is no point in discussing that shit when you can't read or you deliberately misunderstand everything I say to stroke your ego.

I can say quite confidently though that not caring about about the politics of a different era is not racist. Clearly you are to unintelligent to think only the Emperor or Empress rule an entire empire ? Nobles, parliament , prime ministers and several other governmental bodies help run a country even in ancient times like *this story*. The Emperor and Empress have the highest status but they are not the sole people running a country. That's why the other incompetent rulers I named still had empire's.

If you can't understand how the laws of this time period which are shown in the story are important to this story then you really need to work on your reading comprehension. So you just admit you don’t have any understanding on what is going on in this story . Not being interested in the laws is fine , the purposeful spreading false information about a culture on purpose when those laws are still in effects is pretty racist Britain still has a monarchy , the government system is somewhat different, but certain ancient laws still exist.
