He did say it's like your soul showing through in your eyes. Maybe as part of the source of magic, magic wasn't effective on it whereas science can do the trick.

More importantly, he made the right call waiting 200 years. That little girl he rescued is now ready to ara ara onee-san his new younger body.

His reason for reincarnating is really dumb and seems to be an excuse for the author to put him in a magic school setting. Instead of waiting centuries for the world to change their views on amber-eyes, he should campaign for their rights to ensure that he gets the outcome he wants. He's incredibly powerful and unlike many IRL civil rights leaders, he'd be pretty damn hard to assassinate. Sure he might not succeed in his lifetime and probably won't be appreciated by the majority of the public, but he could inspire others to continue his cause.

Well, the art style is kinda bad and the promotion of contact lenses is very shaky ground...

... but I guess I'll forgive it for now since whoever drew this understand that breasts are subject to gravity (which is rarer for artists to realise than you'd guess).
Apparently the clothing covering them isn't though... but if I start getting annoyed at manga artists forcing clothing to conform to boob-shape, I'd pretty much be condemning the entire medium. Apparently everyone in Japan believes fabric unconditionally clings to boobs all round.
