Looks like it's similar to the Strongest Sage one. Magic regression and a misunderstanding of the magic, um, markings? Sigils? I can't think of a good word for it that kind of works for both series, but in a slightly different way since it's eyes being "inferior" for, likely a different reason than, the strongest sage becoming a "god" and people thinking it was because of his magic mark thing because of misinformation.

@VarkAndDjelyl I mean make sure you know which came first and by how much. There are a LOT of stories with the same premise that seem to come out at the same time.

I don't know which is which or if they have a connection at all but the plot isn't unique enough to demand such a thing. Gotta check all the LNs and such to make sure after all. Some things have old LNs but new manga.
