@NLight I kinda figured it's by his own design, you know? The reason he's alive now, is because he created an artificial body for himself. He did it because he felt betrayed by his comrades, so makes sense if he wanted to rid himself of emotions, or at least tone them down. Emotions are mostly chemical after all, so an artifical body wouldn't necessarily have them like we do.

I mean, it probably isn't that at all, but it would work.
