@misto713 in this kind of setting, women only have one power that can help them gain allies. Which is their face and behaviour.

Sure, let's say that there are still nobles who wished to side for a more competent heir but that is definitely rare in this kind of settings. As you can see, the favor she only received in her firt life were the favors of the Homunculus, which (to be blunt) will not help her gain more authority than her siblings.

In short, most of the noblewomen's weapon are their faces.

@lilachansel perhaps. but do you know who wouldn't care what she looks like? the golems. (or homunculi or whatever they are). she is in a unique position to just... remove the obstacles. make a new world where it wouldn't matter. and instead she just moves along the old patterns and tries to play political games against a politician princess and charisma games against the most 'lovable' amd charismatic princess.

it makes it look like she could have done this at any time... but chose not to. let all the homunculi die on purpose. pr if she coulsn't have done this - then where do her sudden skills come from?

she's trying to outperform the imperial princesses who spent their whole lives training for this. her only advantage is partial knowledge of the futute.

wouldn't it make more sense to keep her head down, stay quiet and plot a bloody rebellion together with the homunculi?
