Appraiser? Seems more like an enchanter to me, but then again I do not play chinese MMOs so could anyone explain it?

Appraisal is like unlocking hidden stats already on an item.
Enchanting is like adding extra bonus stats.

Either way both are very similar in that it's just extra stats. I think chinese mmo's usually have even more ways to add stats such as upgrading, refining, elemental attributes, reforging, etc. Anything can be considered an upgrade mechanic lol.
